For this month’s Carpinteria Birdwatchers meeting we’ll have a discussion of a really neat tool for exploring eBird data: Steve Colwell’s BirdView web application. BirdView lets you drill down into eBird data in a staggering number of ways not directly supported by the eBird app and website, making it an extremely useful tool for finding and summarizing eBird records. Leading the presentation will be Steve Colwell, creator of BirdView, and Mark Holmgren, leader of the Santa Barbara County Breeding Bird Study and one of BirdView’s earliest and most-active users.
The meeting will take place in-person at the Carpinteria Library meeting room and online via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18.
As always, Carpinteria Birdwatchers meetings are free and open to all ages and ability levels. Hope to see you there!
