For our January outing we’ll visit the Rincon Bluffs Trail, a section of the California Coastal Trail that connects Viola Fields at the Carpinteria Bluffs (where we’ll start and end our walk) with the coastal sage scrub habitat of the Rincon Bluffs Nature Preserve to the east. It should be a lot of fun!

Location: Rincon Bluffs Trail, between Viola Fields at the Carpinteria Bluffs and the Rincon Bluffs Nature Preserve parcel at the eastern end of the Bluffs (see map above).
Date/time: Saturday, January 21, 2023, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Details: Meet at the Viola Fields parking lot between the ball fields and S&S Seeds. We’ll walk the short section of trail between that location and the Rincon Bluffs Preserve, then return.
