For our May outing we’ll revisit a fun and scenic location: the Rincon Bluffs Trail. This is the section of the California Coastal Trail that connects Viola Fields at the Carpinteria Bluffs (where we’ll start and end our walk) with the coastal sage scrub habitat of the Rincon Bluffs Nature Preserve to the east.

Location: Rincon Bluffs Trail, between Viola Fields at the Carpinteria Bluffs and the Rincon Bluffs Nature Preserve parcel at the eastern end of the Bluffs (see map above).
Date/time: Saturday, May 20, 2023, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Details: Meet at the Viola Fields parking lot between the ball fields and S&S Seeds. We’ll walk the short section of trail between that location and the Rincon Bluffs Preserve, then return.
