One thing members have been telling us is that they’d like to do more to help birds. Accordingly, we’ll hold our first “Helping Birds” day this Saturday, November 4. Anyone who wants to can participate. Meet us at the Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park to help us remove non-native weeds under the guidance of Carpinteria Volunteer Coordinator Andrea Adams-Morden.

Date/time: Saturday, November 4, 2023, 10 a.m. — noon
Location: Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park along Ash Avenue. We’ll meet at the marsh entrance toward the northern end of Ash Avenue, near the mobile home park.
Things to wear/bring: Closed-toed shoes, long pants, sunscreen, gloves (if you have them), water. If you have a shovel bring it along. We will also have loaners.
