Join us on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. for the next Carpinteria Birdwatchers meeting. This month we’re launching what I hope will become a fun, new series of meetings called “How I Bird,” with the first installment featuring guest speaker Linus Blomqvist.
Everyone approaches birding differently, with unique styles, interests, and philosophies. In this presentation, Linus will share his distinctive birding approach, including target-oriented birding and exploring under-birded areas. He’ll also discuss his planning methods, favorite tools, and what aspects of birding he tends to avoid (like listing and chasing). Whether you’re looking to refine your own birding style or simply curious about different approaches to the hobby, this talk promises valuable insights for birders of all experience levels.
The meeting will take place in-person at the Carpinteria Community Library and online via Zoom. Hope to see you there!
