For our May outing Carpinteria Birdwatchers will return to a favorite location: Santa Monica Creek off the west end of El Carro Lane in Carpinteria. The outing will take place Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 8 a.m. I (John Callender) will unfortunately be traveling that day, but Tom Beland has generously agreed to lead the outing.

- Details: Take Santa Ynez Avenue north to El Carro Lane, then turn west (left) on El Carro Lane and drive to the end of the street and park. We’ll meet just beyond the end of El Carro Lane, then bird our way north and south along the dirt path and paved bike path by the Santa Monica Creek channel.
As always, Carpinteria Birdwatcher outings are free and open to all ages and ability levels.
