Join us on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. for the next Carpinteria Birdwatchers meeting. This month, we’ll explore local shorebirds through a beginner-friendly, conversational approach inspired by language learning methods.
Similar to our popular “Gulls: A Visual Language” presentation, this session will introduce about a dozen of our most common shorebird species through small, manageable lessons. We’ll focus on building familiarity gradually, with plenty of opportunities for interaction and review. Whether you’re new to shorebird identification or looking to refresh your skills, this gentle introduction will help you confidently recognize these fascinating birds on your next beach visit.
The meeting will take place at the Carpinteria Community Library and online via Zoom. Hope to see you there!
