We’re heading back to one of our favorite local birding spots this month: the Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park. Join us on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 8 a.m. Spring is a wonderful time to visit the marsh, and we have a special incentive this month — a Little Blue Heron has been hanging around the area in recent weeks. No guarantee it will be there (it has been a little elusive), but this is a great opportunity to try to add it to your local list!
