IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to a change in my travel schedule, our outing for this month will now take place two weeks earlier than originally planned. We’ll meet this Saturday, September 20, at 8 a.m. All other details remain the same. My apologies for the last-minute change. — John Callender
For our next group outing we’ll return to one of our favorite local birding spots, the Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park. Join us on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 8 a.m. for what should be excellent fall birding.
— John Callender
- Location: Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park
- Date/Time: Saturday, September 20, 2025, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
- Details: Meet at the entrance to the marsh toward the south (beach) end of Ash Avenue. We’ll explore the trails through the salt marsh habitat, looking for shorebirds, waterfowl, and other marsh specialists. The salt marsh is an excellent location for both resident and migrant species during fall migration.
As always, Carpinteria Birdwatchers outings are free and open to all ages and ability levels. Hope to see you there!
