Join us on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. for the next Carpinteria Birdwatchers meeting. Please note that this meeting is one week later than our usual third-Thursday schedule. This month, we’ll dive deep into something I’m calling “photo-assisted birding” — using photography as a tool for identification and documentation.
Building on my recent Santa Barbara Audubon talk, this expanded presentation will explore the practical details of using photography for birding. We’ll cover image processing techniques, workflow strategies, and how to leverage photos to help identify challenging birds and create better documentation of your sightings. Whether you’re already taking bird photos or just curious about how photography can enhance your birding, this session will provide concrete tips and insights you can put to use.
The meeting will take place at the Carpinteria Community Library and online via Zoom. Hope to see you there!
