Join us on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., for the next meeting of Carpinteria Birdwatchers. This month’s meeting will focus on bird status and distribution, exploring how understanding bird occurrence patterns can make our identifications more accurate.
Our special guest for this meeting will be Paul Lehman. Paul is the author of the newly updated Birds of Santa Barbara County and the map editor for the National Geographic Field Guide to the Birds of North America. Paul will share his insights on how knowledge of when and where birds occur makes us better birders.
Since I (John Callender) will be out of town, this meeting will be held online only via Zoom and YouTube livestream; we will not be meeting in-person at the Carpinteria Library. We look forward to returning to our hybrid in-person/online meetings in September.
