Join us on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. for the next Carpinteria Birdwatchers meeting. Please note that this meeting is one week later than our usual third-Thursday schedule.
Building on our November “Sparrows and Friends” session, this month we’ll go deeper into the sparrow family with a look at a dozen or so less-common species found in Santa Barbara County. We’ll focus on where and when to find them and how to tell them apart.
We’ll also have a special guest: Santa Barbara birder Rob Hofberg will join us for the latest installment of our “How I Bird” interview series, sharing his approach to birding and what makes it rewarding for him.
The meeting will take place at the Carpinteria Community Library and online via Zoom. Hope to see you there!
